Announcement: Chalmers Private Wealth joins Australian Financial Planning Group

A new chapter for Chalmers Private Wealth

Chalmers Private Wealth is pleased to announce that it has joined Australian Financial Planning Group (AFPG), marking an important new chapter for the business, its team and its clients.

From 1 July 2026, the financial services provided by Chalmers Private Wealth will be delivered under AFPG’s Australian Financial Services Licence (AFSL).

The decision follows careful consideration and reflects Chalmers Private Wealth’s commitment to continuing to deliver high-quality, relationship-led financial advice, supported by the additional depth, resources and infrastructure of a broader national group.

Continuity for clients

For clients, the transition has been designed to provide continuity and confidence.

  • Clients will continue to work with their existing adviser

  • Clients will continue to be supported by the same client services team

  • Existing strategies, products and arrangements remain unchanged

At its core, Chalmers Private Wealth remains the same team clients know and trust, now part of and supported by a broader group behind the scenes.

The move provides additional depth across compliance, systems and operational support, enabling the team to maintain its focus on delivering personalised, high-quality financial advice.

Transition and integration

Over the coming weeks, Chalmers Private Wealth will work closely with AFPG to align systems, processes and documentation.

As part of this process, clients may notice some administrative updates, including:

  • updates to administrative processes

  • changes to branding or documentation

  • communications that reference AFPG

These updates form part of the integration process and are intended to support a smooth and seamless transition for clients.

Important information for clients

As part of the change in licensee:

  • AFPG will become responsible for the financial services and advice provided to you from 1 July 2026

  • existing service relationships and arrangements will continue under this structure

Clients do not need to take any action as a result of this change.

However, we are legally required to give clients the opportunity to choose whether they wish to continue under the new licensee arrangements. This choice is being provided even though there will be no underlying change to each client’s relationship with their adviser, client services team or ongoing advice arrangements for the most part.

If a client chooses to opt out:

  • they will no longer be a client of Chalmers Private Wealth

  • their adviser will no longer provide financial advice or ongoing services to them from 1 July 2026

  • any fixed or ongoing service arrangements will cease

You can opt out by submitting your request via cpwealth.net.au/afpg-opt-out.

Looking ahead with gratitude

We are grateful to our clients for the trust they have placed in Chalmers Private Wealth over many years, and to our team for the care, commitment and professionalism they bring to our clients every day.

This next chapter with AFPG allows us to build on that foundation, with greater support behind the scenes and the opportunity to be part of a broader team of like-minded, client-focused professionals.

We look forward to continuing to support our clients with care, confidence and the same personalised approach they know and trust.

Clients with questions are encouraged to contact their adviser or the Chalmers Private Wealth team. Further information will be provided throughout the transition process.

Kind regards from your Chalmers Private Wealth team.
